- DAY 1 - 

Your PROVENCE EXPERIENCE begins at the Marseille airport from where your driver transports you through the sunbathed southeastern region of France. Within an hour, you arrive at the house where Catherine welcomes you with gourmet snacks and refreshments.

During the first day, you explore the perched village so vividly portrayed by Peter Mayle in his famous memoir A Year in Provence. It overlooks the surrounding valley planted with vineyards and orchards, as well as the wooded hills of the Luberon. This magnificent landscape, immortalized by Impressionists such as Van Gogh and Cézanne, invites you to 10 days of unforgettable exploration.

- DAY 2 - 

Explore a medieval village and its authentic windmill. From this viewpoint admire the surrounding landscape. Visit one of the most celebrated wineries of the Luberon region and its museum. Enjoy tasting Luberon wines: rosé, white, and red. 

 

 - DAY 3 - 

Discover the rich cultural, architectural, and artistic heritage of Aix-en-Provence as you walk through streets dotted with spouting and gurgling fountains.

Experience the art studio where Paul Cézanne painted several of his most renowned works, such as Grandes Baigneuses. Admirers of the famous painter can feel his presence in his place of work and contemplation, filled with the familiar objects that he used for his still life paintings. Also view some of his work at the local museum.

- DAY 4 - 

Explore the largest Provençal market of the region. Here you can purchase local produce, arts and craft gifts, along with collectibles and antiques. Learn the art of bargaining or simply have Catherine assist you.

Discover a Cistercian abbey surrounded by lavender fields, hidden in a wooded valley. Here you can purchase lavender and other essential oils, all produced by the monks who live on the premises.

Visit a panoramic village built directly upon the white-rocked hill during the Renaissance . It is celebrated as one of the most beautiful villages in France.

- DAY 5 -

Travel to the Mediterranean Sea. Enjoy a boat ride and discover the spectacular white cliffs of the Calanques (steep-sided inlets). Visit a picturesque sea town, well-known for its gorgeous views and quaint architecture.

- DAY 6 -

 

Explore a 16th-century village famous for its amazing red and yellow architecture and ochre cliffs. Here you can purchase natural paint pigments, particularly enticing to the artist in you or for someone you know. Learn techniques and applications for your home.

- DAY 7 -

Stroll the cobblestone streets of this medieval town and visit a nearby Roman ruins.

Experience the best-known Provençal market in the region with its bustling, colorful stands displaying local spices, condiments, tablecloths, napkins, and ceramic tableware.

- DAY 8 - 

Discover architectural wonders dating from Roman antiquity, recognized as the best-preserved Roman arena, temple, and aqueduct in the world.

- DAY 9 & 10 - 

Choose to explore one of the oldest villages of the region, built on the foundations of a Roman oppidum (large fortified settlement). Visit a local private garden along with the outstanding village where Camus lived at the end of his life.
